Robin Morgan:
The "otherizing" of women is the oldest oppression known to our species, and it's the model, the template, for all other oppressions.

PAST PRODUCTION:

Sixth Annual 24-Hour Play Project and Benefit Gala

Race the clock ...
The concept is simple: create and perform new works of theater in the space of a single day. The project is an exhilarating and collaborative performance experience in which several 10-minute vignettes are written, rehearsed and performed within 24 hours. Theatre Unbound was the first company to bring the 24-Hour Play concept to the Twin Cities.

Eat, drink, bid and marvel as "prominent local artists walk the tightrope of on-the-spot creation" (City Pages).

Protest:

Nearly a dozen actors picketed the home of Stacey Poirier, Theatre Unbound Artistic Director, on Sunday, November 19, 2006, demanding that a line be removed from Theatre Unbound's 24-Hour Play Project ballot. Read more ...

Vote:

We added a new twist this year! We let the public vote, via an online ballot, for the ingredients they wanted to see in the plays. We received more than 100 votes from all across the country. The items that received the most votes became the ingredients that playwrights used in the brand-new plays they wrote.
