IN MEMORIAM:

What the heart has once known, it shall never forget.

Our 10th Season Anniversary is dedicated to the memory of our dear friend Bonnie Borchardt (1950 - 2009).

Bonnie Lee Borchardt, age 59, of Minneapolis, passed away May 18, 2009 with family at her side. Bonnie worked in advertising for 28 years, primarily at Kerker Advertising and Riley Hayes Advertising. She described herself as a "well- rounded escapist" with interests in reading, theater, movies and museums. Bonnie was a board member of Theatre Unbound and volunteered with the Minnesota Literacy Council teaching English to Somalis, and with the Hennepin County Jail Children's Reading Corner. She was born in Green Bay, WI on April 18, 1950, and grew up in Wayside, WI and Kaukauna, WI. She graduated with a B.A. in English from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1972. Bonnie's trademark was her sense of humor, and she jokingly described her strengths as a mix of "unparalleled work ethic" and "old-fashioned street smarts." She was an avid baseball fan and expert at crossword puzzles. Her curiosity and diverse interests attracted many friends who enjoyed her conversation and personality, and children who loved her warm manner.
